Life is tricky, but oh my, how beautiful and astonishing it is! When we figure out how to hack into it, we will find so many different ways of making it meaningful and successful. Always remember, being successful is 100% subjective. Each and everyone of us have a different perspective on what success is, but we usually find some things in common. Mostly the attitudes and actions taken to reach this state of fulfillment. Here I will provide you with three simple hacks for life.
“If you ask me what I came into this life to do, I will tell you: I came to live out loud.” -Émile Zola
1. DO WHAT MAKES YOU PASSIONATE. There is not a greater mistake and spiritual suicide than waking up every single day already wanting it to end. If you are doing what makes you passionate, you will wake up before the alarm clock rings. I know it is not always easy to do what makes you passionate, there might be blocking walls, but as everything, we can change our reality. We need to aim, think, and be creative into our passion. We need to figure out how to live out of our passion. It just takes trial and error, risking, failing, frustration,…, but once we arrive to it, the inner fullfilment and smile we will find in our faces every single sunrise will be priceless. We know we are living with passion once we find ourselves totaly merged in an activity. We find ourselves in a flow state, peak experience as Maslow would say. Passion on our lives and dreams is like the main bass on swing music, simply essential. Be passionate, follow your dreams!
“The crowning fortune of a man is to be born to some pursuit which finds him employment and happiness, whether it be to make baskets, or broadswords, or canals, or statues, or songs.” -Ralph Waldo Emerson
2. DON’T FEAR FAILURE! I know, I know, huge cliche. But come on, at least let’s face the fact. When we fear failling, or when we fear the unknown, this turns into the greatest inhibitor of progress! Failure is not only the best way to learn new things, but it is also the best way for growth, personal growth. Failing, and all the factors that directs us to failling, produce stress on our mind and body. We as individuals have the option to adapt to the new stress and grow, just like a muscle does; or let our selves back down and not step up in the personal progress ladder. We must embrace failure and receive it as our teacher. On the moment when failure comes, it is certainly a demotivating feeling, but once we recapitulate and analyze the experience, we will clearly see that there is something new to learn, and more furthermore, a reason to keep going. Let’s seek for the unknown, let’s embrace failure and use it to push us to places we have never reached before.
“We learn wisdom from failure much more than success. We often discover what we will do, by finding out what we will not do.” -Samuel Smiles
3. STAY POSITIVE. Being a positive individual is simply being someone who sees the bright side of everything whenever there is hard and dark moments. Looking at the bright side doesn’t mean that everything suddenly looses importance, not at all. Looking at the bright side takes problem solving, acknowledging the experience, not letting oneself be affected be his/her emotions or the externalities. Looking at the bright side is harder than it appears. It requires guts and a strong core to face the problems and reality while keeping a big smile and looking for quick and simple solutions. By staying positive we will experience a clear mind, vibrant attitude and huge enthusiasm onto challenges. Positivity is a shield against any life situation, not a shield to evade reality, but a shield no protect us from the “failing and giving up” syndrome. Stay positive, be a problem solver, not a problem seeker. Enjoy life!
“We can complain because rose bushes have thorns, or rejoice because thorn bushes have roses.” -Abraham Lincoln
Now as you see, any of this 3 life hacks requires commitment. Life is certainly not easy, but it is entirely beautiful, mystic and majestic. It is totally logic and reasonable to risk and don’t fear anything. Living passionately and fervidly is the greatest thrill we can experience. We only have one opportunity, up to what we know, to enjoy this ride. What are you waiting for?
